About us
The Munich Center for Health Economics and Policy (M-CHEP) consists of 15 chairs and professorships situated at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the Ludwg-Maximilians-University of Munich (LMU), the University of Augsburg, the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and the University of Bayreuth.
The aim of M-CHEP is to foster interdisciplinary cooperation between researchers in the field of health economics and health policy working in and around Munich, Bavaria.

M-CHEP Policy Talk: Prospects for the Pflegebudget as part of hospital reimbursement amid the tension between quality of care and the efficiency principle (online event)
Prof. Andreas Schmid (University of Bayreuth), Dr. Tobias Hermann (Head of department of inpatient care AOK Bayern) and Vera Lux (President of the association of care professionals Germany - DBfK) will discuss the future of inpatient care reimbursement with respect to the Pflegebudget. The Pflegebudet is the care related component of hospital remibursement that was separated from the regular DRG-reimbursement of hospital services. Each of the thee speakers will give a 10 minute presentation after which a moderated discussion with questions from the audience will be faciliated.
